Physician
Under the direction of the Medical Director, the physician shall be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida. The physician has responsibility for medical direction of the hospice patient’s care and treatment, and consults and cooperates with the patient’s attending physician and interdisciplinary team. The physician also educates community physicians and others engaged in healthcare services regarding the hospice program and its potential benefits to patients.
Requirements: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school with a current Florida license. Hospice and Palliative Medicine Certification by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is desirable within 24 months of hire (if not already certified). Experience with oncology, home health or hospice care delivery is desirable.
ARNP
Must be a graduate of a Master’s Degree Nursing Program with Family or Adult Health ARNP and a current ARNP license in the State of Florida. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license, and current automobile insurance. The ARNP performs history and physicals, works closely with other members of the interdisciplinary teams, and assists physicians to initiate and modify interventions to relieve patient suffering.
